We’re satisfied that SPANA’s work in Syria is so far largely unimpeded. Our veterinary staff continue to get vital help to sick and injured working animals, while our education projects, including our mobile exhibition unit, also continue to reach thousands of schoolchildren across the country.
Around the world, SPANA teams work in challenging circumstances. From the conflicts of Iraq and Afghanistan to East African famines, SPANA has worked in dangerous and insecure regions to get help to working animals in need.
The situation in Syria is worsening, but we remain in contact with our team there and, for the time being, remain satisfied that their work can and must continue.
