Our people

An introduction to just a few of the people who help to ensure the charity runs smoothly and effectively.

Jeremy Hulme - Chief Executive

Jeremy joined SPANA in 1988 as Operations Director for North Africa and lived in Morocco with his family for three years before returning to London as Chief Executive. Jeremy particularly enjoys the opportunities SPANA has given him to get to know the people and the animals in some far-flung countries, including Mali, Iraq, Afghanistan and Darfur. Describing himself as “Crazy about animals from the time I could first stand up,” Jeremy draws and paints in his spare time. Before joining SPANA, Jeremy was a soldier in the Black Watch, and also farmed a hill sheep and cattle farm on a Scottish island.
