SPANA currently treats, trains and teaches all over the world. SPANA funds a permanent network of veterinary centres and mobile clinics across nine current core countries, providing free veterinary care to working animals in need.
Without our vets, most of the working animals we reach would have no access to even basic care. So many animals around the world continue to suffer needless pain, endure ill health and die prematurely. Our teams get help to almost 200,000 working animals every year.

SPANA has one very busy veterinary clinic in Debre Zeit and two mobile clinics, treating over 11,000 animals each year. We also have three classrooms and an education centre. Teachers give lessons on animal welfare to around 2,050 children a year.
Working animals in Mauritania are depended upon by thousands of families to earn a basic living of sometimes only a few dollars per day. Since we started working here in 2001, there has been a huge demand for our services.
