Helping working animals in Somaliland

Donkeys pulling carts laden with water barrels or agricultural produce are a common sight in Somaliland. Communities are heavily dependent on farming to earn a small income, so working animals are key to their livelihoods. We’ve been working in Somaliland since 2016 to improve donkey welfare by treating animals and teaching local owners.

Our mobile veterinary clinic helps donkeys in need of help in Somaliland. As well as providing lifesaving treatment and ensuring that as many donkeys as possible have access to veterinary care, our team provides training and advice to animal owners to promote and improve animal welfare.
