Please help save thousands of animals from the agony of lameness
Every year, SPANA vets and technicians treat over 14,000 animals suffering terribly due to lameness.
It is shocking how even a simple hoof problem can leave a poor animal in excruciating pain. If untreated, a minor injury can become so severe the animal is crippled with lameness and unable to work. Tragically, many will be abandoned to face a slow, painful death.
Please help ease the suffering of working animals like Yasmina.
We were only able to help Yasmina thanks to expert skills of our staff, Dr Youness in particular. SPANA’s ongoing commitment to training over the years meant that Dr Youness had the expert skills to save Yasmina’s life.
How you can help
With your help, we can provide specialist training so SPANA vets and technicians learn lifesaving skills and use the latest technology, such as X-ray and ultrasound, to provide the best possible treatment to lame animals in their care. In October this year, we will be running a special Veterinary Congress focusing on lameness and inviting vets and technicians from all our countries. Building knowledge, skill and expertise can really improve the care we provide to lame animals.
Please take a moment to look at the report and our video which details how you can help treat animals suffering from lameness and prevent even more from being crippled.
I’m sure you hate to see any animal suffer needlessly. So please send a gift today. With your support, we can not only ease the agony of lameness but also help us prevent it.
Please be assured that even if we don’t reach our appeal target of £60,000, then any funds raised will still be put towards our Veterinary Congress in October 2018. If the generosity of supporters means we exceed our target, then any additional funds will go wherever the need is greatest.
