Across the region, many boreholes have fallen into disrepair and have run dry.

We need your support to provide lifesaving treatment, feed and water for working animals affected by drought

Working animals in Kenya are struggling to survive in the most extreme drought in 40 years. With water sources drying up and vegetation wiped out, these animals —so vital to the daily lives of communities— are left with nothing to eat or drink.

As crops fail and pasturelands turn to dust, the animals that transport water, carry goods, and support families are growing weaker by the day.

Tragically, many have already died. Without urgent intervention, many more will follow.

These animals are not just part of the community — they are essential to it. Their survival means resilience for the people who rely on them.

In response, we are providing emergency feed, clean water, and veterinary care to keep these animals alive. But we are also looking ahead: by repairing damaged water systems and training local communities to manage them, we aim to build lasting solutions that ensure both people and animals can withstand future crises.

Will you donate today to ensure working animals get the care they deserve?
