Children in the classroom with their knitted animals from the Big Knit

Using one of our patterns you can knit your very own Duncan the donkey, Hattie the horse, Oscar the ox or our newest design, Emma the elephant! You can also crochet Clarence the camel, all to help SPANA treat hardworking animals in need.

You can choose to receive your pack in the post or by download. We kindly suggest a donation of £10 which will help SPANA cover costs and contribute to our invaluable work helping working animals around the world.

We also encourage you to target a sponsorship total of £20 for each knitted animal you make, and if you’d like to arrange a ‘Big Knit’ as part of a group please do get in touch for some extra fundraising suggestions.

The Big Knit for Vet Kit fundraising pack contains: Big Knit for Vet Kit knitted animals

Actress and SPANA supporter, Pam Ferris, is delighted to be supporting the campaign, she said: “Knitting for SPANA means you can enjoy being creative while raising much-needed funds to help sick and injured working animals in developing countries throughout the world.

Whether you’re an experienced knitter or a complete novice, I’d encourage everyone to pick up their needles and have a go at making one of these adorable animals.
