Help save more working animals like Kais
When 2-year-old donkey, Kais, was brought to the SPANA mobile clinic in the Tunisian region of Kasserine, he could no longer walk properly. As a working donkey on a farm, he would carry out tasks for his owner Chawki, including transporting water and goods from the local market in Sbeitla – a round trip of six miles.
Our vet examined Kais and discovered that he had arthritis in his front left leg and other minor wounds. He also had breathing problems and a lack of energy, which was the consequence of the constant pain he was suffering.
Our vet cleaned and disinfected the wounds and prescribed penicillin. Just as importantly he was able to advise Chawki on how to look after his donkey.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters just like you, we are able to provide free treatment for more than 309,958 working animals like Kais
every year, in some of the poorest communities in the world.
By supporting our Spring Raffle, you will be helping us transform the lives of working animals like Kais.
