Lucky, an eight-year-old camel in Rajasthan, India, works tirelessly hauling cartloads of freshly fired bricks. Recently, he began losing weight and persistently scratching his chest against walls, trees and other surfaces. Concerned, his owner, Mamraj, brought him to our mobile clinic. The vets quickly diagnosed Lucky with mange, a skin condition caused by mites. Thanks to our well-stocked medicine cabinet, the vets administered anti-parasitic medication to ease Lucky’s discomfort and strengthen his health. With the right treatment, Lucky’s mange was finally healed, and his itching relieved. Mamraj expressed his gratitude, incredibly thankful to see his camel working more comfortably.
