This gift can help provide sight-saving eye treatment to prevent sight loss in animals like Agelgayi.

Agelgayi, a seven-month-old foal, was brought to our mobile clinic in Debre Birhan, Ethiopia, after his concerned owner, Bekele, noticed that his left eye was cloudy. Unfortunately, dry and dusty environments mean that ocular conditions are common, particularly in countries suffering the effects of extreme climates. The vets cleaned the eye with saline and gave Agelgayi anti-inflammatories to ease his discomfort. They then showed Bekele how to apply a special eye ointment until his donkey recovered. Thanks to your support, this simple intervention prevented avoidable blindness.
