SPANA’s mobile clinics provide a lifeline, delivering critical care to animals in hard to reach areas. But in Tsholotsho, home to one of the largest populations of working animals in the country, the crisis is so severe that many animals need more intensive care than our mobile clinics can offer. To meet this urgent need, we must open a permanent animal health and welfare centre.
You have the power to change this.
Each month, SPANA’s mobile clinic travels 400 miles from Zimbabwe’s capital, Harare, to provide essential veterinary care to Tsholotsho’s working animals. However, this is not enough to meet the needs of one of the largest populations of working animals in the country. That’s why SPANA is planning to open a permanent animal health and welfare centre in the region.
With you help we can offer continuous, round-the-clock care—providing medical attention, shelter and recovery time for animals who need treatment. Together, our mobile clinics and this new centre will ensure no animal in Tsholotsho is left without the care they desperately need.
Your donation can help provide the medicines, food, and medical supplies needed to help these animals recover. For example:
When Movha arrived at SPANA’s mobile clinic, he was in desperate need of care.
Weak from malnutrition and struggling with severe mange and internal parasites, his future looked uncertain.
SPANA’s vets acted quickly, treating Movha with an injection to eliminate the parasites and a medicated spray to soothe his irritated skin. He also received a multivitamin boost to help rebuild his strength.
Alongside treatment, Movha’s owner, David, was given essential guidance on how to support his recovery.
Thanks to this vital intervention, Movha was given a second chance.
But thousands of animals like him in Tsholotsho still have no access to the care they urgently need. The new SPANA animal health and welfare centre will be a lifeline for these suffering animals, providing lifesaving treatment and ongoing support.
By helping us establish a permanent animal health and welfare centre, you can ensure working animals receive lifesaving treatment when they need it most.
With a dedicated vet and regular access to care, suffering animals won’t have to wait until it’s almost too late. Instead, they’ll get the treatment they need to stay strong, healthy, and free from pain.
Your generous donations will be used for projects such as those featured in this appeal and where they are required the most to help animals in need. We would be so grateful for whatever you can give to this vital appeal. Thank you.
