Ethical Animal tourism

Thousands of donkeys, horses, mules and camels are used in the tourism industry worldwide to transport holidaymakers on rides, treks and tours. But despite the relentless hard work of these working animals, they can be poorly treated, neglected and beaten.

Find out how you can make a difference by choosing the most responsible animal tour providers, and what to do if you see animals mistreated abroad.

Vet volunteer

Get involved in our volunteer programme and put your skills and knowledge to great use treating animals in Morocco. You will have the opportunity to gain experience of conditions rarely seen in the UK, develop your clinical skills, and exchange knowledge and ideas with local SPANA vets.
