The SPANA Weekly Lottery is a simple way to help transform the health and welfare of working animals around the world. With every £1 you play, you’re helping provide vital care to donkeys, horses and camels who face injury, exhaustion and neglect in some of the world’s most impoverished communities.
Last year alone, we helped 470,100 working animals through veterinary treatment, food, water and equipment – essential resources that help improve the health and welfare of these hardworking animals.
In many of the areas where we work, access to veterinary treatment is scarce, and many of these animals are often forgotten, left without the care they need to thrive. Without support, animals who are relied on for hard labour and transport can suffer in silence, living with pain and exhaustion that no animal should ever face.
Over the course of a month, your entries could provide a comfortable new headcollar for a working animal, improving their comfort while working. A headcollar might seem like a small piece of equipment, but for working animals, it plays a key role in reducing pain during their daily tasks.
