Recycle your jewellery and gadgets

Recycling for Good Causes accepts old jewellery, watches, gadgets and even old foreign or UK banknotes.   

 All items received are assessed and recycled by experts to raise the greatest possible funds for SPANA. We’re delighted that almost £20,000 has been raised from our recycling appeals so far, so thank you to everyone who has donated.  

Pack and send 

Pop your items into an envelope (no bigger than A5 size), then click here to download and print your freepost label. 

The following items can be donated:  

• Jewellery and watches (in any material even if damaged or broken) 
• Foreign or UK banknotes (even out of circulation ones, but not coins) 

Recycling sack  

If you have a large amount of items to recycle or would like to collect more over a period of time, then simply request a free recycling sack, involve your family and friends, and arrange a free collection when it reaches an acceptable weight (10-30 kg).   

The following items can be donated in a Recycling Project sack:  

• Jewellery and watches (in any material even if damaged or broken) 
• Currency – any coins or banknotes, UK and foreign (even if out of circulation) 
• Mobile phones 
• Cameras (old film, digital and video) 
• Stamps (loose, single, albums, first day covers, presentation packs, collections, postcard collections) 
• Gadgets (sat-navs, ipods, MP3 players, games consoles, games and accessories). 

Donate used stamps

You can now donate your used stamps to raise much-needed funds for SPANA. All kinds of stamps are welcome, on or off paper.

Simply cut or carefully rip the postage stamp from the used envelope, being careful that you don’t damage the stamp. Once you have a collection of stamps please send them to:

Recycling for Good Causes will arrange a collection for larger quantities of stamps weighing over 10 kgs. This equates to about two buckets full of stamps. For more information on large stamp collections, please contact Recycling for Good Causes at info@recyclingforgoodcauses.org or 0800 633 5323.
