Knit and Crochet for Working Animals

Knitted animals

Using one of our patterns you can knit your very own Duncan the donkey, Hattie the horse, Oscar the ox or Emma the elephant! You can also crochet Clarence the camel, all to help SPANA treat hardworking animals in need.

We kindly suggest a £10 sponsorship target or donation for each animal you knit or crochet, which will help SPANA’s invaluable work treating a real working animal overseas. You can also collect sponsorship online via Just Giving.

We are currently unable to accept knitted animals. However, if you have an eBay account, please sell your knitted animals and nominate SPANA to receive the benefit. Or, if you have any animal-loving friends, perhaps they would like to make a donation in return for keeping one of your creations! Thank you for your support.

Our Big Knit for Vet Kit pack contains all five of the animal patterns for knitting and crocheting.

Knitting for SPANA means you can enjoy being creative while raising much-needed funds to help sick and injured working animals in developing countries throughout the world. Whether you’re an experienced knitter or a complete novice, I’d encourage everyone to pick up their needles and have a go at making one of these adorable animals.
