About the challenge
Climb more than 6,000 meters to the peak of Kilimanjaro in the name of your chosen charity. Kilimanjaro is one of the world’s most famous mountains and one of the toughest tests of endurance you’ll experience while fundraising for your chosen charity. Looming almost 6,000 metres about sea level, the dormant volcano is a dramatic fixture set against Tanzania’s open plains and flat land. Book your place and start fundraising for this once in a lifetime experience climbing the highest freestanding mountain in the world. One of the famous “Seven Summits,” the trek gradually increases in difficulty, pushing your stamina and endurance.
The 10-day challenge starts when you and your fellow adventurers land in Moshi, Tanzania, taking in the beautiful landscape on your way out to the Shora Plateau and Lava Tower. From there, traverse the rocky climb of Barranco ravine before arriving at Barafu Camp to rest. The final two days are dedicated to ascending the Uhuru peak summit, a challenging trek which will really push you to the limits of your stamina.
