This gift can provide bandages and wound dressings to help animals like Belqas get back on their feet.

In Morocco, Belqas the horse stumbled and fell in a busy market, injuring his front legs. Shaken and in agony, he was taken to SPANA’s Casablanca centre for help. Our vets took an X-ray of Belqas’ legs to rule out any broken bones. They then eased his pain with an anti-inflammatory injection, sutured the wounds, and placed protective bandages over the wounds on both legs. Belqas’ owner was advised to bring his horse back to the centre in two days’ time to recheck the wounds and continue treatment. After proper care and monitoring, Belqas fully recovered from his injury.
